A Walk Down Memory Lane:   In high school and Jr. High, Harley was honoured as an athlete. He won many individual honors like Academic All-American, All-American in football, (wrestling Jr. High only) and track and field awards and team honors with state championships in football and basketball. Touted by one major university in the area as one of their top 100 athletes in the country, he played football from the 5th grade to high school graduation and achieved a personal career win record of 52 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie.

The years that followed high school were not so easy. In July of 1978, he entered the Air Force Academy Prep School in Colorado Springs, CO; and shortly afterwards had knee surgery from a sports injury. He was then struck by a drunk driver as a pedestrian. Several months after the accident he left the prep school. All sports were out, and his grades suffered greatly for several years and during this time he had begun to drink and do drugs. He later dropped out of the University of Minnesota and went to work. Looking back now he knows drinking and drugs were a big waste of time, but it was better to have the crisis early in life rather than in his 40's with a family.

In 1984, he had a lucky break, he searched for and found his birth mother and before his adopted mother LaDeane died, he was privileged to have two moms at the same time. With renewed energy, he returned to the University of Minnesota (Twins Cities Campus) in 1988 at the age of 28 and graduated with a Math Degree from the Institute of Technology and an Economics Degree with Mathematics Emphasis from the College of Liberal Arts. He graduated above a 3.0 GPA despite having a GPA of only 1.8 for the first four years, an achievement he is very proud of.

Getting a late start in the workforce was not easy. Time at home as a stay at home dad, then a divorce and a custody dispute followed as he entered into teaching at San Luis High School, San Luis, AZ. Living in Yuma, AZ he briefly coached and taught mathematics in the high school. The custody dispute made it the lowest point in his life.

He left teaching to live and work in Rocky Point, Mexico and shortly afterwards his adoptive father passed away After nearly two years in Rocky Point, he moved the Mexican company further South in Mexico where they currently hold several large contracts. By this time, the economic crisis had started to set in and everyone was hit financially.

He is currently located in South East Asia teaching and looking for exporters to sell direct into the US market.
